It’s not solid gold. It’s steel with a gold-tone plating that’s harder-wearing than classic gold plating. We tell you before you buy, not after.

That’s exactly why they exist. Lots of cheap jewellery is brass with a thin coat of gold plating: when it wears off, the copper underneath oxidises and leaves a green mark.

To be honest about the limits: keep them away from bleach and harsh detergents. And to make them last even longer, take them off for the pool.

316L steel releases very little nickel, within the limits of the EU’s REACH regulation. For most sensitive skin, it’s the safest bet.

It isn’t “nickel-free”: if you have a severe allergy, zero risk doesn’t exist with any jewellery. Start with a necklace or a bracelet. For hygiene reasons, earrings can only be returned in their sealed packaging (unless faulty).

Our sizes are the inside circumference in millimetres (size 52 = UK/AU L½). Wrap a piece of thread around your finger, mark where it overlaps and measure it with a ruler.

Open the size chart. Between two sizes? Go for the bigger one. Try it on at home, just as you would in a shop: if it doesn’t fit, tell us within 30 days and send it back.

It goes out by tracked courier: we email you the tracking code as soon as your parcel leaves the warehouse.

The code is personal: it works once and expires 60 minutes after you get it. Once it’s expired, it can’t be reactivated, and the same email can’t get another one.

It doesn’t stack with the multi-buy discount: at checkout, Shopify automatically gives you the bigger one. With 3 or more pieces, the multi-buy (30% off) usually wins.

You have 30 days from delivery to tell us you want to return it. Email info@uppereastjewels.com with your order number and we’ll send you the instructions.

Try it on as you would in a shop (if it’s been worn beyond that, we may deduct the loss in value) and, if you can, send it back in its box. Within 14 days of your return reaching us, to the same payment method you used. In the UK, if you cancel within 14 days of delivery and send us proof of postage before your parcel reaches us, the 14 days start from then.

In the UK, the law gives you the right to cancel: 14 days from delivery, no reason needed. In Australia, the law doesn’t cover change of mind. Our returns go further, wherever you live: 30 days from delivery.

Lifetime anti-tarnish guarantee. If the plating tarnishes, flakes or peels with normal wear, send us a photo and your order number. Within 5 working days, you choose: a new piece, store credit +10% (valid for 12 months) or a refund. Email garanzia@uppereastjewels.com.

It doesn’t cover knocks, crushing, loss, bleach or solvents. You also keep your legal rights as a consumer, which this guarantee does not affect. Read the full guarantee.

It can be returned within 30 days of delivery, like any order: just email us with the order number.

Not sure what to choose? A necklace or an adjustable bracelet: no size to guess, and if she doesn’t like it, she can return it. Only give earrings if you know her taste: for hygiene reasons, they can only be returned sealed (unless faulty).
